Currently the North Carolina State Board of Education approved the proposal to allow North Carolina teachers to satisfy Praxis I testing requirements by earning a 522 composite score from the Reading, Writing, and Mathematics tests. So for all Education majors except for Communication Disorders, it may not be necessary to score exactly 176 or above on reading; 173 or above on math and writing, but rather you just must earn 522 total. (Communication Disorders still requires a minimum of 176 for reading and 173 for writing).
