Ideas for Review for Praxis I Math

Visit the Math Lab: The math lab is located in 303A Walker Hall.

Because this is a lab setting, you need to bring review materials with you. Work on your own and as you need help, raise your hand and a tutor will come to help you.

In the fall and spring semesters, Anna Keber is available in 208 D. D. Dougherty Hall to help with math. She can be contacted at keberaa[at]appstate[dot]edu. It has also been helpful to students to take practice tests here to identify which types of math problems they need to review as well as to get used to the kinds of problems that typically appear on the math praxis I.

A key to success with the math praxis is working many practice problems AND discussing some of these problems with another person. In general, the key to math is practice, practice, practice, and much of the math on the Praxis I is not the kind that you have had to use in many of your college classes, so reviewing can really make a big difference.

Anna Keber, Praxis Support Coordinator, created these two handouts as study guides for students. They are in pdf format, so you should be able to read them with the Adobe Reader, a free program installed on campus computers or available for free download onto your own computer. Updated 5/29/07
